Look Who Finally Decided to Talk

Roman has taken his sweet time talking. There is a girl across the street who is exactly Roman's age - she had about 20 words before he even spoke his first. It hasn't worried me too much because Brooklyn was a late talker and one thing I've learned by baby number 3 is that it's really not a big deal if they don't hit each milestone right on time. Having said that, the communication barrier has been really annoying. Finally though, Roman has decided to talk. His vocabulary consists of: ball, hot, shoe, uh-oh, apple, water (wawa), juice, Lylah (Yiyah), on, off, baby - and the most frequently used word - MINE. It is pretty cute hearing him finally trying to imitate words and sounds that we make. And having him understand us has opened up a whole new world - he can be having a tantrum and I'll say 'want a fruit snack?' And it's all good.
