Thanksgiving 2011 - Only a Month Late

This Thanksgiving was worlds better than last year. My parent's were on their mission last year and for the first time, we celebrated Thanksgiving without them. I had my brothers over and cooked the entire meal - this is no small feat in the kitchen the size of a cardboard box. But we did it and I'm glad it's over. This year, however, was great. We celebrated in Park City and the entire family was there. It's not often we are all able to get together. And the food - better than in years past. Slowly, my mom began buying more store made food and prepared less homemade. But this year I requested everything be homemade, and between all of us helping, and it was.
Each year our family (Dan and I and the kids) makes a Thankful Tree and on leaves, we write what we are thankful for. Here (for records sake) are what we ended up with this year. I am thankful for:

My Mom, Dad, sister and brother (Delylah)
Family, friends, and all the people I love (Brooklyn)
Delylah being so patient and sweet and Brooklyn being such a big helper and great big sister (Mom)
Daddy and Delylah helping to rake the neighbor's leaves (Mom)
Food, macaroni, popcorn, chicken nuggets, raspberries, and bananas (Delylah)
Mom and Dad wiping my butt (Roman)
Daddy spending so much time with the kids and helping Mommy out so much (Mom)
Santa giving me presents and my sister and brother and food (Delylah)
School, toilets, pets, food, birthdays, friends and family (Brooklyn)

What? Daddy didn't do any? Shame on him. Maybe next year.
