Hawaii Part 2: My Break From the Kids

Everything about Hawaii was amazing - from the 6 hour flight (6 hours to read and sleep uninterrupted?) to the perfect weather, good food - and much more.

This was the view from our room. We had a balcony off of our room and probably my favorite part of the trip was opening the doors, sitting on my bed, listening to the ocean. I spent a lot of time doing this. Also, the sunsets were beautiful. Dan and I watched a few of them - romantic, huh?




My second favorite part of the trip? Drinks in pineapples. Real pineapples!


Dan and I snorkeled 3 times. Now, I am not an 'active' vacationer. I am more than content sitting in the sun, reading a book. But I felt like I had to get out and do something. We had a great time snorkeling and saw tons of different fish and even some big sea turtles.




And it wouldn't be a vacation without a lot of eating, which we definitely did. It was great spending quality time with my hubby, siblings and parent's.
