On Christmas Eve, we went to my brother and sister-in-law's for a BIG dinner. Despite being 8 months pregnant, Kristin went all out and made a great meal. I must have been really busy eating because I only got a few pictures. And most were of my handsome, little man. Jeans with a button-up and a tie? Where does this kid get his killer style? His Dad, of course. Yeah right.
And one pic of the girls with cousin Audrey. Who dresses their kids in sundresses in December? I do, that's who.
After dinner we did our traditional Andrus Christmas Eve program. It consists of a group of scriptures and songs and takes me back to my childhood everytime. Now onto later Christmas Eve. We have a tradition of letting our kids open their Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve. Only this year, I realized that my kids already have a ridiculous amount of jammies so I mixed it up and gave them each a robe and slippers.
Next was stocking stuffing time. This was an intersting year because it was the first year Brooklyn didn't believe in Santa. She so wanted to stay up and help fill the stockings and I so wanted help filling 6 freaking stockings. Six!! So I had her fill each one except her own. Helpful little elf, she is. Here was the final product.
It is every mother's dream that after staying up all night getting things ready for Christmas morning, that her kids will sleep in. Everything was going as planned until a policeman knocked on the door at 7am waking all three kids. He was letting us know that some people were driving through nearby neighborhoods breaking car windows and we were one of the luckys. Although it was a Christmas miracle that it was Dan's crap-mobile and not my car. I take my car very seriously. Anyway, here are the happy campers bright and early in the morning.
Proof that I was actually there Chrismtas morning. Sweet jammies, Mom.
Here is the Christmas loot for 2011:
Brooklyn: CD player/karaoke machine with Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber CD's, Taylor Swift calendar, Guiness book of world records book, jewlery maker kit.
Delylah: big girl bike, squinkies, doctor kit, arts and crafts, tag reader, twin babies and double stroller.
Roman: little trampoline, trains, tool kit, shopping cart with food.
Jaydan: legos, rip board, books, nurf gun
Dylan: same as Jaydan. Apparently I'm not very original
Alyssa: Easy Bake oven, sketch book, bracelet maker, press on nails, nail polish
And the group gift for all of the kids was a Wii with games. I love the gifts that I get for the kids but deep down it's really for me.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like a broken window. What the hell? Wow. Glad my car wasn't touched while I was away. Haha. And I'm also glad it wasn't your beautiful car. :)
Sounds like a fun Christmas, though! That's awesome Brooklyn is old enough to help you fill the stockings. Haha
